Keep a pocket-sized record
A small notebook is easier to carry when it has a simple purpose. Use it for brief observations rather than a complete diary of the day. A line or a quick drawing may say enough.
Leave room around your notes. A page does not have to be finished before you turn it over, and an empty space can become useful when you revisit an idea.
At home, choose one observation to keep. Over time, these small selections can become a personal map of the places you know best.
